SUMMARY RGH was tasked to create mall design with hotel that could compete in the tough retail mall environment in Chengdu. We presented RGH multiple concept options and the option using figure 8 was chosen to be developed into 3D. The Figure 8 inspiration was used both in horizontal (PLAN) and vertical design (ELEVATION). The figure offered fluid design and circulation and opened many new design opportunities.
